Your chip looks to me just like the two I show below. This is how all the MGM first issue chips that I've seen look like. The two I show, by the way, are a Grand Opening, and a Ty Murray rodeo chip.

If there is a flat edge chip (maybe a prototype) I don't this yours is one of them.
