Pyongyang Casino, North Korea

As I promised in my post earlier today, here's the scan of the $5 and $10 chips from the Pyongyang Casino in the Yandakdo Hotel in Pyongyang, Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The guy who picked them up for me said that the casino staff indicated that they may switch to Euro based demominations in the future, instead of using U.S. dollars as they currently do.

The green "window" on the jeton is transparent green with a swirl in it.

The guy who made the chip run is even more interesting than the chips. He's a forensic anthropologist and works for the U.S. Army's Central Identification Laboratory in Hawaii. He travels all over the world investigating and excavating sites that may hold the remains of U.S. soldiers killed on foreign soil, many from World War II, Korea and Viet Nam.

Anybody know if there are many of these circulating among chip collectors?

Sorry, no traders.
