Troublesome eBay auction

This one bothers me--a $30 chip touted as $175 and then sold for more than twice its TCR value. I sent the seller an e-mail and told him/her that they had the wrong TCR and value. Here is the response:

"thanks for the correct infor. Like I said when I listed it that I might not have it right. Sure are a lot of different Smiths. Rick"

This was three full days before the auction ended but no changes were made to the listing.

Sure, the buyer seems to be a person with some experience and I know that "caveat emptor" applies. But, an innocent mistake is one thing and a deliberate misrepresentation (or failure to correct an error) is another. There may be a better explanation (maybe I'm wrong) but until I hear it I, for one, will avoid this seller.
