Edge Markings on Gaming Tokens

I found this Hacienda, LV gaming token on eBay recently. It has the name of the casino marked on the edge rather than a reed-pattern as most others do. I have seen un-reeded tokens in the FM proof sets, and of course, the FM production tokens have distinct reeding patterns for each casino they supplied. This is O'Neal catalog 1144 which she indicates is made by Roger Williams Mint (no mintmark).

Has anyone else seen an example of edge marking with the casino name? Maybe it's common, but I don't recall seeing it before.
