... First let me say living on the Gulf Coast I have ridden out a few bad storms in my time, most I had no choice because of my job. Hurricanes are nothing to play with or take lightly.......but

...last night I watched hurricane reporters on the weather channel doing the 'on scene' reporting. How do you show wind and rain strength? They showed a traffic light swinging, and a road sign wabbling and tried to make it dramatic, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing! They were grasping for some drama. Next a reporter reported on 'Stupid' people on the beach and he used that word... didn't that INCLUDE him standing there too? I never understood why the reporters have to be IN the weather they are reporting. Why can't they report looking out of the car window or lobby of the hotel they are staying in? The ONE weather exceptions are TORNADOES.... LOL and I think it is the CAMERAMAN who balks on that one!
