Here is an update on the Sands Baccarat NCV chips I posted earlier. I received the following response from GPI (formerly Paulson/B&G).

These chips were made in 1981. There were 1000 @ $100, 1000 @ $500, and 2500 @ $1000. I am a little confused on the color of the $1000. The original colors were to be $100 Black, $500 Orange and $1000 Light Blue. That was changed to $100 Peach and $500 Indian Blue. Both of those appear to be correct. The problem is with the $1000 that was supposed to be made Purple. The picture looks black but it may not actually be; it is sometimes difficult to tell with scanned items.
