A Whole New Breed is a story of speculative
fiction using elements of horror and suspense. It
takes place in modern times. The story centers
around a "gifted," yet troubled young man named
Mark Roberts. He finds himself pulled into the
middle of a war that has been going on for
centuries and has remained hidden for just as
long: the war between vampires and the isolated,
small bands of humans who know that vampires
really exist.
A Whole New Breed combines established and
accepted European folklore about werewolves,
vampires and (some) witchcraft and puts a new
spin on it. Mixed with historical and religious
references, "A Whole New Breed" (as well as its
sister stories coming soon) takes the reader
along with Mark as he struggles with himself, the
creature within him and his new-found enemies
that are not only aware of him but are now out to
kill him by any means necessary because his
"gift" may just be what tips the scales and turns
the course of the war forever.
