I sell home poker chip sets from real casinos. I just got in a 500 chip set from the R&O Card Room (California). The person who sold the set to me said at one time they had owned all the chips from the casino and they totalled around 7000. Most of these were appparently $0.50, $1, and $5 chips with the $25 and $100 chips accounting for only about 700 chips of the total. Theses higher denomination chips also appear to be seldom (if ever) used. Was the card room really this small? 7000 chips seems like too few to run a casino. When was the card room opened/closed? Just looking for some history.
