You want public posts of the email comunications....you got!!! Firsat the last one i sent you earlier today. The bpottom of the email shows the email that captbanjo sent to me, the top is my response:

Dear Jim,

First off, your memory is not serving you very well at all. I most certainly HAVE indeed emailed you in the past concerning your use of James Campaglia's book values in your auctions. My emails were not hostile towards you, but were rather nicely sharing my opinion that the values in James' book should not be quoted in auctions because of the obsolescence of the book. At that time, I wasn't sure if you knew or not. You responded to one of my email informing me that you did not own a copy of the TCR, and that you were clearly stating the source of the values you were quoting. I had emailed you a month or so later again to state you should be using the TCR values, but again you stated to me that you felt the James Campaglia book was an accepted price guide, and that is what you chose to use. My eBay id back when I emailed you was "chip-a-holic", however, I always sign the email with my real name (unlike you).

We also had comunications where I asked you questions through the eBay "ask seller question" feature as well. I had seen your misquoting some colors and values, and emailed you asking about which the correct chip was. The chips was $1.00 NCV Karl’s Silver Club . Your auction stated the chip was a $60.00 value, but when I looked it up in the TCR, I found it was a "D" chip valued at just $10.00. You emailed me back stating you had made a mistake, but it was too late for you to make a change on eBay. You stated back to me that the real value in the Campaglia was $30.00. Again, this was contrary to the TCR listing of just $10.00. Thsi is a perfect example: TRIPLE the TCR value.

I did not initiate the thread. The thread was started by a newbie bringing the topic of your use of the Campaglia's old book values in your auctions to the chipboard. I did however respond by stating that you knew about the TCR and that the Campaglia book values are considered outdated.

In my opinion, your practice of quoting a chip value from an long outdated price guide is very, very wrong. You know quite well about the TCR, and that for the last few years it is the only acceptable price guide for Nevada chips. This will change shortly when James releases the new edition of his price guide, which will be out very shortly. But until this happens, the TCR is the only printed value that is acceptable to be quoted.

As a dealer, you have chosen to ignore the TCR, and continue to utilize book values that are clearly outdated. That act speaks for itself. I have bought from your auctions in the past both as "chip-a-holic" as well as with my id: "terryshaffer".

An apaology? Not a chance. I have absolutely nothing to apologize for. Read my posts carefully. I said absolutely nothing that wasn't 100 percent true. In fact, I held my tongue. I didn't trash you at all, I merely stated that you were well aware that the old Camplagia book is long outdated, a fact which is 100 percent true.

Jim, should you decide to persue this publicly on the chipboard, I'd be more then happy to join you for the ride. You see, I still have our email comunications. Fortunately, I have a very large capacity for email storage, so I tend to keep those that I find "significant" for one reason or another.

I think however, it would be a much better choice on your part to simply say "hey, maybe these guys have a point". Lick the wound to your ego, and move on. You clearly have many people that have enjoyed doing business with you. I can see no reason that you couldn't take this issue and use it for a point of personal growth. I for one am more then happy to shake hands and say no hard feelings. But again, that require you to change your practice of listing old and outdated chip values. This, I hope this will be a mute point soon anyway, as James is about to release the new edition of the Official Guide.

You personally fueled a thread on the CB that was started by a naive newbie about chip values by claiming that you had "emailed me numerous times about value discrepancies" ???
Your one statement was taken by your "sheep following" friends, and resulted in 4 subsequent threads that further bashed me for no other reason other than "Chipboard Sport .. Let's Bash this guy today !!".
You know as well as I that you have never sent any such emails and I cannot believe that you would say such a thing and promulgate such an eruption against my character that resulted from such a slanderous statement.
I have never made any false statements about any values EVER and pride myself in my business, ebay and chipping reputation. We may differ in sources of reference, but I would never quote anything that is not the most current of it's issue .. !!
I have observed all this and have bit my lip, and don't take me wrong because I am no Mark Sutton, but I will be silent about this no longer .....
Please let me know .... you and you CB buddies are not invisible out there .. Captbanjo
