How high do people think the TCR book is estimating price value of chips?

I have found that every chip, whether I buy or sell is UNDER the price of the TCR. Since this was the first TCR book I bought, its great for description of a chip and their ID, but the quotes are at least 20% higher then I see chips being bought or sold.

The only ones that it maybe good for are the C's or D's after that its up for grabs. Maybe I'm not doing a good job of analysing a chips value or maybe I'm a softy. I even noticed on Will's site that some people have lowered their chips to sell them. Is chip collecting going down as far as value? I was really depressed last night and wanted to dump all my chips and not continue collecting, but I felt the best place to talk about this is here.

I know, since I started, I have learned so much and still I find myself not getting the value out of an older chip.
