Geeze, gettin'past 4 1/2 years of collecting these critters and I got my first arodie the other day. Nice eBay wholesale Bank Club speciman from one of my fav small Nevada towns, Ely. Robt. Eisenstadt tells me that this is one of the first year issue Arrows and Dice (c.1953-c.1968) and that the mold is "highly prized and relatively rare". Of course he's right! Gene always calls the guy that was selling these babies Tommy Haines if I recall right.

Don't know if the Bank Club was still letting high schoolers up to the tables in '53 but once upon a time and if they knew you, well... Think this scan captures the spooky otherworld spiritual beauty of this arodie and the two local Portland microbrews I had with dinner help some too.
