Idaho Illegal Casinos Info

On my recent trip to Idaho, I was unable to find any chips, but I did find some information that may be interesting to illegals collectors.

I stayed in Stanley, Idaho in the Sawtooth Mountains. The town, now with a population under 100, has a reputation of having a rough past, with gambling. One of the few streets is named, "Ace of Diamonds." It also has an old restaurant called the, "Kasino Klub." At the small museum, I took a picture of some old gaming devices, apparently from Stanley. The first is an old slot machine. The tumblers show different brands of cigarettes. It is a bit larger than the size of a toaster. My next post will show a hand-painted roulette board.

I also learned that "the hotel" in Clayton, population 26, once had gaming. The owner of the antique store in Clayton told me that she and her husband bought the "old hotel" and, although most of the hotel had been ransacked, they found an ashtray showing that hotel had gaming. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it, and she said she would not sell it and eventually intends to donate it to the town for a museum.

Hopefully, this adds to the knowledge of gaming in Idaho.
