I'm hoping this question will reach out to some of the newbies, as well as the regulars.

I think that as we all started out as new chip collectors, most of us have had this predicament. You've been Hooked! And now your perusing eBay, and maybe you bought a TCR, or The Guide, and you see a chip that just catches you! You're just starting out, so you know you can't go up against the Big Guyz/Grlz. But you want it!

Sometimes, the chip is not the most valuable, but it can be hard to get. In my case, it was the $5.00, Fuschia, Pussycat a' go-go! (pictured below).

I lost sooooo many eBay auctions trying to get this one. It wasn't untill I attended my 1st chip meeting, that I finally got it. Many thanx to Archie Black for inviting me to my 1st meeting in Atlantic City this past November, otherwise, I think I'd still be looking...

So, here I am in Atlantic City. I'm looking over the tables, finding a few things I want to come back to. As I'm coming back up the aisle, out of the corner of my eye, to the left, I spot it! It's in an airtite laying on a table with some other moderately priced chips. Two guys are standing in front of it looking at the seller's offers.

I remember thinking to myself..."If he reaches for it, start chewing his arm off from the elbow!"

Luckily, they moved aside. I think as I reached for it, I may have possibly mumbled..."Here, kitty, kitty!" I picked up the scratched airtite, and looked at the chip inside. It was MINT! I flipped it over, $50.00. I asked the seller, $50.00 bucks for this? He looked at my badge, and said, "Ok, $45.00." Trying not to show how extatic I was, I pulled $45.00 bucks from my wallet. I tucked the chip into my deepest pocket, and in my mind, did the "Yes, Yes, Dance!"
