My suggestion is to bypass the casino/hotel and search online for a better rate, you might be surprised. The rooms available through online services are "guaranteed" money for the casino/hotel, plus someone else is doing all the work selling the room. I think that the rates quoted by the casino/hotel are for rooms they retain for their best customers--if they don't use it for a rated customer they sell it at the highest rate. If they don't get you at the tables, they'll get you at the registration desk .
