fun stuff. I live in Torrington Wyoming which is a major artery from the south enroute to Sturgis. They come thru here by the 1000's. Just fun to sit and watch for what you might see. Just listening and looking, neat stuff.

Back in 1976 I lived in Huron, South Dakota. I had a new ass busting Sportie. I had ridden it the year before to Sturgis...about 400 miles.

I was getting called a candy a*s for griping about riding it out there again. My good friend, Darwin Peterson dared me to ride his wifes Honda Dream, Pink and a step thru, 50cc.

Heck, yeah, I will do it. That was back when the Japanese stuff(Please don't anyone get offended by this) was really a target in Sturgis. What a trip. They took off, I took off. They would stop for a beer and be leaving about the time I got there. Same thing next town and then I just didn't see them any more. Got lots of jeers along the way. 11 hours later I rolled into Sturgis. Found the bar where they were at. Ended up having to take the Pink Honda into the bar for safe keeping. Bar help was organizing a raffle for it...others suggested demolition. In the end everyone settled down. I cruised around for 3 days on it.

The next year we were thinking about seeing if it could pull a trailer with my friends '39 Knuckle on it. Just not enough guts for that job. The Pink Honda Dream still holds a special place in my memories.
