hmmmmm....I dunno about the craps scene, but I just watched part of the tape and the scene where he rides on top of the elevator on the outside of the "Whyte House" was filmed at the Landmark. Not exactly what you wanted to know.

I don't know what dates he bought what hotels, but Howard Hughes owned the Landmark, Desert Inn, Frontier, Sands, Silver Slipper, and Castaways in Vegas, and Harold's Club in Reno.
