I was in LV for about 24 hours and managed to play two NLH Tournaments. For those interested the first was 7PM at the Sahara. There were 6 or 7 tables and everyone started with $1,000. It was a very tight crowd which surprised me since there were unlimited rebuys @ ($40). The buy in was $65. Add on of $1,500 cost $40 too. I was lucky enough to finish 8th unfortunately it only paid 5 deep. Top prize was $2,720, second was $1,360 and down to $270 for fifth.
2nd tournament (signup at 9:30AM) was at the Cannery (I-15 and Craig Rd.) This is a very nice but small casino. Buy in was $25, no limit holdem with no rebuys or add ons. Five tables with 5 alternate players allowed to enter late. I only lasted about an hour when my pocket K's flopped a set and I lost to an all in bet, straight. I put the guy on two pair. Dah. This tournament allowed smoking which surprised me. I would play both tournaments again if I had the chance.
