Being self employed myself for 30 + years, I have to agree with you on your points.

Mike must have been burnt by his employer/s. Mayby more than once. I don't know why he's so bitter about having to have worked for someone.

Those who have worked for someone else all their life have no idea what it takes for a small businessman to survive. Just barely surviving at times.

I've always said: "Everyone should be required to run their own business for one year." Then they'd know.
