Rita...I'm trying to understand
In Response To: Lola & Minnie chip set ()

I've looked at a few of your auctions, but I've yet to understand why your shipping charges vary as they do.

For instance, the lola/minnie chips you're charging $4.00 shipping for USPS Priority, not including insurance. However on the Sammy Hagar chip, you state "Winning bidder within USA agrees to pay $20 in FEDEX shipping charges. Insurance is extra, and seller is not responsible for item if lost and not insured. Winner will be provided with the FEDEX tracking number. International bidders welcome. Why not offer first class shipping on this if the buyer prefers. Since they will most likely be paying for insurance, why pay for the extra money for priority.

I believe everyone will agree that this is most definately an excessive shipping charge.
Why require a person to pay $20.00 shipping that doesn't even include insurance? One would think for that money you could at least include the cost of insurance. As past experience has shown, excessive shipping charges only serves to alienate the chip buying community and promotes ill-will towards the seller.

You'll find an awful lot of chippers that will never bid on chips with excessive shipping charges no matter how good the final selling price is.

Yet on your other auctions that have just one chip, you are charging $1.95 at first class mailing. This one isn't unreasonable.

There's been many threads here on the chipboard on this which you most likely aren't aware of.

Just some friendly advice.
