Unless you live on one of the swing states, it really doesn't matter who you vote for as the electorial votes are the ones that are important.

As an example, California is going Democrat and Texas is going Republican. So even if you vote for the opposing party, your vote is not going to count anyway. States such as Ohio, Florida etc. are the ones where you will see most of the money being spent and where the candidates will be traveling.
