Anyone got any guesses as to the casino where this scene may have be filmed? The Las Vegas Story, 1952, an RKO gig with Howard and Jane. They filmed at The Flamingo but I don't have any further info of any other Las Vegas properties they may have used. This could, of course, be a sound stage, too.

No details to found in an enlarged image of the scene but the legend on the bar mirror is "The Last Chance". Chuck-a-Luk at the far left and 21 and roulette tables just as you'd find today and an art deco motif in the carpet.

This movie is rated as a Golden Turkey but it is actually a LV history buff's delight. Story isn't that bad and the stars were at some of their best days. Many day and night shots of Fremont street so put this on tape for pause and rewind! Go blind trying to ID chips on the tables! I haven't seen this film for a few years and wished I'd had kept the tape I'd made of it. Russell is married to the sneaky rat Price and they're staying out on the strip at the new resort, The Fabulous. Seems Jane was a chanteuse before striking it rich in the sneaky rat sweepstakes. She knows all the old guys downtown like Hoagy Carmichael and copper Vic Mature. Melodrama ensues. Don't miss the shower scene with Russell bathing in a shower located in the center of their fabulous suite at the umm...Fabulous.
