Regarding #7....

"7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line."

I have done this. And I have done this when I needed to dial (punch) long distance. I hit 9, then 1, then 818 (area code) then realized that I hit the 9 to start off. So I hung up and started again. As I dialed I wondered how many other people do that, and are there any area codes that start with a 1. If so, then they are actually dialing into 911!

But in my case it was only 9-1, then an 8. Not quite the whole number of 911. Well, imagine my suprise when after dialing the correct number I got a call interrupt and when I answered the interrupt it the local police dispatch officer asking if I dialed 911. I explained that I only hit 9 and 1, but not 911. I was then asked if everything was OK, or was I under duress! I explained that all was well and it was left at that.

Very strange.

BTW-#9 can be... You write down telephone numbers with periods, like 123.456.7890, instead of using parenthesis and a dash, like (123) 456-7890.
