Re: NCR A few more head scratchers....

"1. Eskimos kill and eat more penguins than polar bears do."
True. You killed the polar bear in your previous group of questions. The penguins are safe from the bear.

"2. The world's largest desert is Antarctica."
A-n-t-a-r-c-t-i-c-a...10 letters
S-a-h-a-r-a...6 letters
M-o-j-a-v-e...6 letters
uh, that's the only deserts I can think of right now, 10 beats 6 so that's true! grin

"3. If tips of an airplane propeller exceed the sound barrier it will ultimately destroy the prop."
Define destroy? make it not function anymore or cause it to disintigrate or something else? Define ultimately...ultimately everything is destroyed, I mean even the pampers in a landfill will eventually disintigrate. Mike, please phrase these questions so they make sense! sad

"4. If you had unlimited money and there were no limit on bets, you could beat Las Vegas' odds and make money whenever you gambled."
Hmmmm...interesting theory. I think it's the martingale system that says if you double your bet every time, eventually you will win...though you may have to risk thousands to make a dollar. BUT, I'm sure there's games that have a rake (or vig or something ?) that would take your dollar "profit. However, if you stuck with blackjack it should work. I'll say true. grin

"5. Australia has no land snakes."
"no" is a relative term. Maybe there aren't any land snakes that are native to Austrailia, or maybe there are....but I'm sure there's at least one snake in a zoo or in a pet shop. False.

"6. A ship will float lower in the water when it leaves the river and sails into the ocean." noooooo....salt water has more bouyency (and makes better taffy!)
