If the chips were issued as a set, I'd sell them

as a set. An example would be the Pioneer Club set of 12 or the Flamingo Rockette set or even the Hard Rock's Lola & Minnie. Sold individually, I believe that the closing pricing will be cheaper than if sold as a set.

On the other hand, if it's a set of, say, $1, $5 & $25 house chips from a casino, I believe that you will realize a higher total closing price if each chip is listed individually....many people only collect one denomination and don't want the others. I have an example...I recently won an auction on eBay for 40 LV/Strip chips. I was interested in only one chip, a $5 Nob Hill that hopefully was in better shape than the one that I currently had. I won the auction, got the one chip that I wanted and sold the remaining 39 chips individually PLUS the one chip that I replaced for over twice what I paid for the 40 chip lot.

So I guess it just depends.... grin Steve B
