"LUGUBRIOUS" We don't have words like that in WY

I pride myself on my volcabulary, but I sure missed that beauty.

I live in Wyoming and if a word can not be applied to sheep, cowboys, or urinal cakes there isn't much use for it.

For myself and others here is what I found. What a word, I love it.

lugubrious
SYLLABICATION: lu·gu·bri·ous
PRONUNCIATION: AUDIO: l-gbr-s, -gy- KEY
ADJECTIVE: Mournful, dismal, or gloomy, especially to an exaggerated or ludicrous degree.
ETYMOLOGY: From Latin lgubris, from lgre, to mourn
