Hotel Nevada Ely, Lynn, Myself, and LBJ...

Was wondering if I could sleep with all the "LBJ's" staring down on me. No problem!!! Slept like a spanked puppy. Went to sleep a little before 10 and didn't wake up until 6 am. That is major for me as I am usually up every couple hours.

If you missed my previous post about this great old hotel:

Just checked in to our Lyndon Johnson mini-suite. All this for $43.00. King size bed with headboard and footboard and huge stuffed valentine dog on bed and free lollipops. 31 inch Tv and VCR, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, real plants, two over stuffed chairs, and a globe. What a deal, a damn globe. I ALWAYS need a Globe when travelling and always forget to bring one. I love it.

Hotel Nevada was built in 1929. Owners have done one hell of a job.

But, $43.00, UNREAL!!!

Oh, yeah, still have real keys for the rooms.

On to the 100+ degree sh*thole tomorrow.See pic below.

Mark & Lynn

Just one thing, has lots of historic pics of LBJ on walls, hope I can sleep with him watching.

Comments:

Slots tighter than the bark on a tree!!

Coffee maker is a big 8 cup job. Not one of those dinky things.

GREAT PIZZA!!

Outstanding Breakfast!!!

If you reserve room on their website you get an additional 10% off room rate.

OK, on to Caliente to get picture of old Cove Club north of town. Then Pioche, just cuz it's Pioche.

Mark
