Today's selection has all the characteristics of an African note of the same vintage eith its colors and pictures but it is from the South American country of French Guiana (see map below). The note is a 1960 issue 1,000 Franc note with a 10 Franc over stamp. The front depicts fishermen and the back depicts bananas being harvested. I consider this is a high-end note, as it has a collector’s book value of $1,300.00+ USD. This note is obsolete and therefore there is no exchange on this note. French Guiana is an overseas department of France and now uses the Euro notes. Enjoy.
