Flamingo Hilton Chip Question....

While I was playing Caribbean Stud Poker last week at the Flamingo in Las Vegas I came across some of the old $1 Flamingo Hilton chips which were still being used on the table. I thought when then Park Place Entertainment (Now Caesars Entertainment) ended their relationship with Hilton at the Flamingo those chips and any that showed up on the tables and at the casino cage were taken off the table and ultimately sent for destruction?

Also because of the knowledge now that these chips are still being openly circulated wouldn't that now bring down the $1 chip's value in the The Chip Rack and the The Official U.S. Casino Chip Price Guide?

The speciments that I acquired were in great condition, not too much dirt.
