NCR BankNote For Your Viewing Pleasure

Today's selection comes from a Summertime Vacation Hot Spot many of you have visited. It is the 325 mile long Caribbean island of Jamaica in the West Indies. The selected note today is the back of a 1991 issue $100 Dollar note featuring Dunn's River Falls in Ocho Rios, printed by Thomas De la Rue London Ltd. Dunn's River Falls is a 1000-foot refreshingly cool clear water cascading waterfall right into the Caribbean Sea. The rocks are brushed down by the Jamaicans to prevent them getting slippery.

The current exchange rate is $100 Jamaican Dollars = $1.63 US Dollars. They have been plagued by inflation the rate was 6/1 in 1989, when my wife an I had 2 lobsters & veggies, wine, and desert for $96 JMD OR $16 USD for the TOTAL bill. Currently the $1,000 is their largest note (or $16.30 US) ENJOY! (I did grin )
