If the starting price is $1 and the reserve is $100 and you bid $99 -- no, you won't win the auction. But if the auction states that the reserve is $100 and you bid $100, even though you're the only bidder and it started at $1, you've met the "reserve" and the new highest (and only) bid is yours at $100 and you will win the item....unless Terry "snipes" you!! vbg

That being said, I'm with most of you and generally don't bid on reserve auctions. If it is an item that I want, I will e-mail the seller and ask the reserve price....9 times out of 10, they will tell me and then I will determine whether to bid or not. Five more days.... vbg Steve B
