NCR BankNote For Your Viewing Pleasure

Today’s selection is a Double feature / Triple-header! I have selected backs from New Zealand’s current 1999 issues (5 notes) that are in use today they feature the birds of New Zealand.
If this post took too long to download PLEASE LET ME KNOW for future reference.

The first is a 5 Dollar note featuring the Yellow-eyed Hoiho Penguin,

next a pair of Blue Whoi Ducks,

next one of New Zealand's Karearea Falcons

next is the 50 Dollar note featuring the Kokako,

and finally the 100 Dollar note featuring the Yellow-head Mohua on a tree trunk. The $100 NZ Dollar is the largest of their current denominations.

This new series of notes are printed by Note Printers of Australia on polymer plastic, the solid black (or white) areas you see are actually clear windows in the note. That is one of the many anti-counterfeiting techniques used on this note.

The exchange is $100 NZ Dollars = $62 US Dollars (so what is pictures here ($185 NZD) is aprox $114 USD) . UNC book value is aprox 10% above face. Enjoy!
