Yes, that practice I described is very slimmy. But as you well know...there's some sellers out there that care about nuthing except the dollar. We see fantasy chips and current chips with fraudulent descriptions all the time. They arent real chippers. There's slimeballs all over. I think chipping has much less of the bad people then some other areas of collecting.

Someone should definately notify the seller you're speaking of, and in a nice way, point out to her how the book she's quoting from is outdated and no longer of use for present values.
