sad NCR Very sad week

This past Wednesday, just after finally getting my computer all fixed and finally was able to re-retrieve my RR addresses I was happy.

A friend of mine from work (Greg), whom I've known for the past five years, was at a party in Downtown Worcester. Downtown Worcester is a very scary, and hostile place. Greg was there with his two best friends, both of whom he grew up with since 1st grade. (As a side note, my friend Greg has Cerebral Palsy, and as such he has to walk with a bent knee-ed, swinging arm gait. The party they were at was also at the next alley over to my friend Jaun's place.)

As they were leaving the party the had to pass by one of the most notorious Gang Bar's in Worcester, La Cantina. As Greg was walking by he happened to bump into someone. They (the Gang Member) happened to take offense to this, and tried to ruff him up. His two friends came to his aid. During the argument a gun was pulled by the gang member, and he shot Greg's friend in the head.

Greg's friend died instantly. My friend Juan was going to the packy when it happened. He said he never saw so many people chasing someone down while talking on their cell phone to 911.

The shooter was caught a few hours and towns later. My friend is still devastated...Myself, I can't even imagine losing a friend of 17yrs.

And all this came about because a person who has a disability accidentally bumped into someone! Greg blames himself, but we've all been talking to him about it. He's still so sad though. I had another friend call his folks and asked them and his Sister to watch for signs of depression or suicidal tendencies.

Sorry...I just needed to vent and talk, and you folks are so good at listening.
