NCR Late Night SPECIAL Banknote

Tonight's special selection is one that is priceless and very personal to me. I have said I most treasure notes from frineds and family over ones withe high book value and that my brother owned a wine importing company and therefore traveled extensively. He never failed to bring me a note from each of his travels.

This note comes from Nepal it is a 1987 issue 5 Rupee note displaying Birendra Bir Bikram in his plummed crownand a temple in the center. On the back are two Yaks grazing with the slopes of the southern Himalayan Mountains as a back drop. Nepal is a small country sandwiched between northern India and China. The note is not especially pretty and it is lightly worn and folded but its value is priceless to me. Value does not always come from a book.

This would be my final note from my brother, as well as a final picture. He died at 48 from a massive heart attack in New Delhi before he could make it back. That is him with the slopes of the Himalayan Mountains behind him.
