it solely for the money have no love for the great memoribilia or the history. That is sad, but this is America and nothing is wrong with just selling. As with any collecting field, if they are just dealers and have no passion for the items they are usually not worth dealing with.In these cases they don't know shi* from Shinola about what they are selling.

Most chip dealers do collect and have very impressive collections of their own and have a love and passion for it all.

You have come across a special collecting field and a bunch of very special people. You will be bowled over by these folks. I am new to this too and they never cease to amaze me.
