C&C chips: Follow-up on origin

In our last episode, Howdy Herz revealed that the Mason company records showed these chips being made for Bell Cigar Store, 109 S. 15th St., Omaha, Nebraska in 1953.

I wrote to the Omaha Public Library asking for help in identifying any businesses using "C&C" in their name. Here's the reply I got:

" I checked our early 1950s Omaha City Directories. The 1954 Omaha City Directory lists the following citation : "C & C Bar (Jerry Collins Jos S Cap jr) 2923 Spaulding."

An almost identical citation appears in the 1955 directory. These were the only citations beginning with, "C & C."

So, does the name Jerry Collins or Joseph Cap Jr. mean anything to anybody?
