Thanks for the post and link Charles! I haven't really noticed these letters on the hills but I'm sure there are more around. I ran from Wendover to Bordertown last spring and had a great time, you might want to plan that trip. Even if you don't find much in the way of letters, the northern Nevada towns are fun to explore.

Gonna drive down 95 in June to the convention, something I haven't done since I started collecting chips. Hoping to make it to Tonopah before I endo into a ditch or something. There's a little place there that had cheap rooms for us truckers. I used to partner with a older fellow and we'd get an occasional tanker load of polymer for the Las Vegas water treatment plant. We'd run down 95 and he'd tell stories about when he was mercury mining out around Goldfield and the hell those miners used to raise on the weekends. I wasn't into chips or casinos in any sense in those days so I missed the opportunity to pick up a lot of great stories about that part of Nevada.

Anyway, looking at your pics has got me panting to hit the road and dodge the tumbleweeds, avoid the locals in Mina and wonder what in the heck they do at that strange little air base in Indian Springs. Hoping the price of gas keeps all those vintage Winnebagos, Pace Arrows and whatnot parked and off that piece of road. Have a good trip Charles!
