Tony, this is exactly what it is like and what...

it is used for...

Tony, I am not taking you to task on this. My only intent is to correct some inaccuracies in your post and in the eBay description.

The Orleans, as many of the casinos do, is to offer payroll check cashing. The basic idea being, if the working class stiffs stop in the cash their checks, they may spend some of that cash in the slots or table games before they leave.

As an incentive The Orleans (and the Gold Coast) offer a chance to win upwards of $50,000 just by cashing a payroll check at the casino.

That incentive is in the form of an aluminum token (green for The Orleans and red for the Gold Coast, but I may have it confused with the Suncoast) that is then used in a special slot machine.

At The Orleans, there are two of those special machines and on Fridays at about 6:00 pm, they are very well used! At the slot machine a player can select between any of several games to play. They include Keno, (video) poker, and a (video) slot machine game. I believe there is also the option to play a Big Wheel type game.

Regardless of the game selected, each token is good for one play. Each game offers prizes at a minimum of "redeem for drink at bar or redeem for $1 match play at BJ table" in the form of TITO tickets, as seen in the scan.

Lastly, these are not hard to get and they are not restricted to employees only. Anyone, 21 years of age or over, with a company payroll check and an ID card can get one.

If you have been told otherwise, then you have been erroneously informed.

Best regards,

Jim Follis
