Yeah interestingly enough, the only Robin Gordon I was able to locate having anything to do with Vegas/Reno chips is listed as dealing in "obsolete California chips" on this page -

It's highly possible he/she re-sold.... though I am sure for a MUCH higher amount even in 1997! I know my mother knew nothing at all about my aunt's collection but it would probably take more out of me than it is worth to recover any loss.

Besides there is probably a statute of limitations for such a lawsuit anyhow, and it's been 7 years, more than likely past that time.
