The Penthouse Boardwalk Hotel Casino was originally planned to be built on the Boardwalk next to Harrah's at Trump Plaza.

The steel skeleton was erected but the casino was never built because Gucionne couldn't obtain the necessary financing. The rusted steel shell sat for years until Trump purchased the site and eventually tore it down to make room for his current East Tower. You may recall the controversy years ago about the woman who held out on Trump's offer to purchase her house next to the rusting steel framework. She lost her court battle and the East Tower of Trump Plaza was built around her.

The chip under discussion was never intended for play at the Penthouse casino as one poster had stated. It is a non-value lightweight advertising chip. There are scans available of letterheads, envelopes and shipping labels all with the name of the hotel casino and Atlantic City address printed on them to validate the chip.
