but, what you are describing is a very common variation condition with CHIPCO chips that are different front and back. As a function of the manufacturing process fifty percent of the chips will have the words around the edge in one orientation and the fifty percent in the opposite.

This should also be the case with original orders and the re-orders.

If you have multiples of other CHIPCO chips (with different front and backs) and with edge writing, there is a fifty/fifty chance that any two are both the variations.
