Brief history: I have only been collecting a few years. Nothing compared to the time most of you guys and gals have. I have traded only a few times with Gene and he has answered several questions I have had over the last few years. I am not a dealer or heavy buyer. Hell I haven't even been to the convention yet. Well I emailed Gene several weeks ago about buying or obtaining an item from him and he said he would look into it for me. (I won't say what it is because I don't want him to be bombarded with requests) So here is my story.

My boss and his/my friend went to Vegas for the week last week. They, knowing I collected chips, asked if I had a shopping list for them. I gave them my want list. Well they were on a chip hunting tour and wondered into the Palms Poker Room. They met a nice man, explained what they were doing there. This gentleman just happened to be Gene. Gene took the time to talk with them about chip collecting and show off some of their displays. Then as the conversation continued the topic of who they were collecting chips for came up. Just from where my boss was from, Gene was able to identify me by name. Thats impressive to me. Seeing that like I said before, I'm a pretty smalll cog in the factory of chip collecting. From what was told from my boss Gene took the time to help them pick out some nice additions to my collection.

Also the item I had inquired about several weeks ago, Gene remembered it, and sent it home with them. No questions asked.

Gene, I just wanted to thank you not only for helping to expand my collection, but for taking time entertain and teach my friends about my hobby.
