Re: Lake Tahoe Casinos
In Response To: Lake Tahoe Casinos ()

This picture is what the former Glass Crutch looks like today, Jeff - in other words, not much. It's on Kahle, just off Highway 50, very near the Lakeside Inn and about a mile from Harrah's, Harveys, Caesars and the Horizon.

Gary's was located very near there, although I don't believe the building is still standing. Same with the South Shore Riverboat. The Lakeside Inn is the former location of Harvey's Inn, and the current location of the Burger King just across the highway is where Ed's Tahoe Nugget was.

Sky Harbor was farther back off Kahle and featured a casino and small airport.

The Circus Room and the Tahoe Colonial were approximately where Caesars is today. Caesars was the Park Tahoe briefly in the late '70s.

If you make it to the north shore, check out the Tahoe Biltmore, which was the Cal-Neva Biltmore, Nevada Club and Nevada Lodge in its former lives. And once you spot the coffee shop at the Biltmore, you'll be where Joby's Monte Carlo was.

There are lots more, but hopefully that's a start. Have a good trip.
