Do you feel a person who lists an item is obligated to sell it to the highest bidder? After all it is still "his" until receives payment - can he change his mind then. Is it only an ethics question after the item has been up for a certain number of days? I feel that when you list an item you enter into an agreement with the bidders and with eBay and I feel that ending an auction and selling it outside eBay violates both those agreements - and is clearly unethical. I will never knowingly bid on another item of someone who does that - but then those items are usually above my pocketbook anyway....
