This chip was produced by the Treasure Mountain Casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado. The casino was open from 1 April 1996 to 30 September 1997. The chip might rightfully be considered the first "slabbed" chip. The casino put 500 chips in a case and sold them. The chips are not sealed despite what the case says. Chips in the case are really no scarcer than the chips out of the case. In fact the casino really splurged on these chips as they used "American Silver Eagle" cases and just stuck labels on, as can be seen from the photo. This is a nice looking chip however.
