Not that I'm aware of, but that doesn't mean it's not larceny.

Anyone been grabbed for stealing ashtrays, bathrobes, towels? I doubt it.

Does that mean it's not a crime - a resounding NO is the answer I come up with. Non-enforcement doesn't mean it's lawful - it just means they aren't strictly enforcing the regulation/code/law.

I'm not familiar with the AC regs and let's face it - casinos love to see chips walk. As someone on this board said - it's a check that will never be cashed.

Same reason they issue LE chips - they are basically "printing" money because they understand the chips go, for the most part, into private collections.

If the gaming people insisted on strict enforcement, it would get harder to get chips. If they stick RFID (?) tracking devices in the chips, it would get even harder.

Players will always take a few chips home and the casinos will always turn a blind eye because it's in their best interest financially.
