I am putting my chips on a spread sheet (Excel) and need to know how to multiply cells. For Example: column C row 2 X column D row 2 = column E row 2. These figures would be expressed in $. Is there a way to make column E automatic when columns C & D are filled in?

Please understand that I am a computer dummy so please fully explain. Don't take anything for granted. The only thing I know about computers and spreadsheets is where the on and off switch is. Anyother help you could offer I would be most grateful for.
