I have about 4000 ...

... of these, Michael (including duplicates). They are called "Chip Shots" and there are actually two different sets, referred to as "Absolute" and "1st & Ten".

The Absolutes are 200 different players on three different color chips (black, blue and red). The 1st & Tens are 250 players (1-200 same as Absolute, plus an additional 50), also in three colors (green, yellow and red). The Absolute inlays have silver backgrounds and the chips have silver edge markings, as well; the First and Tens inlays have white backgrounds and the edge markings are also highlighted in white.

Thus, there are 1350 chips in a complete set (600 Absolutes and 750 First & Tens). I also have a special seven chip set of "Shopko" Green Bay Packers (unnumbered yellow chips with green & white edge markings), several marked "sample" (all of which have First & Ten inlays on Absolute chips) and a handful of regular chips which also have First & Ten inlays on Absolute chips.

You can find them catalog'd in trading card books & magazines (such as Tuff Stuff) ... though I wouldn't put much weight on the prices in the catalogs. I bought most of mine on eBay for 5-10 cents on a dollar, compared to the catalog prices.

They were only issued in one year -- 1997.
