Re: Roulette Value Question
In Response To: Re: Roulette Value Question ()

I haven't even seen the chips or the table in Milwaukee. I guess I better read here and take notes. One color is better than none.

Last time I got a chip in Reno it cost me $80 for the one I pocketed. So I'll never recover that. grin

Even thought it usually costs $1 Min. to buy in, people must play to get them, it just seems there isn't the demand for roulettes to take the values up to what they should be with the expense to obtain.

Considering the numbers of each chip that are made, they are more limited than many limited editions.

Maybe someone has some ideas, such as, there aren't that many motivated collectors? I don't know.

Here's a set ending in eight hours {last set tomorrow} and you can see the thrilling bidding war (None) for five year old obsolete chips, which were destroyed. I was only able to complete three sets of all 15 colors, yet, the interest is almost none.

I'm guessing that complete sets are not as interesting to most collectors as one example of a design from a casino.

Anyone else have roulette value ideas?

I think the price guides have it right, based on demand. Good value for someone who wants to collect "cheap chips" they seem to be about the same as $1 table chips.
