Selling club promotional items at close to, or below cost, is certainly not running a profitable business to my way of thinking .... but then I'm no tax attorney.

The VOLUNTEERS (past and present) who are maintaining inventory, creating the lists, publishing the advertisements, accepting orders, collecting payment and sending the revenue collected to the club treasurer for this promotional stuff are not getting paid. They do it for the love of the hobby.

Perhaps when the club gets its own building, many of these promtional items can be sold in our "gift shop". Which days and hours are you available to work behind the counter? grin
